Crimean Khanate was a vassal state of the Ottoman Empire. It came to existence in 1440s by splitting from the Golden Horde. Until 1570 it was partially autonomous from the Ottoman Empire, but when Mustafa saw tries for absolute independence, he invaded them. By 1580 Crimea joined the Ottoman Empire completely.
