The Kingdom of Cyprus was established on the first of January 1948 by decree of the ruling Pharaoh Neferkheperkara Setepenihy Horemheb X To be ruled by his brother Amunherkhepeshef. As with Egypt proper Cyprus is a constitutional monarchy and the King has the same powers and duties of the Pharaoh

  1. Performing Religious Duties
  2. Declare War or Peace
  3. Build public infrastructure
  4. command the Armed Forces in a war against other countries
  5. dissolve the parliament
  6. represent Egypt in foreign relations and international conventions
  7. call referendums
  8. Declare State of Emergency
  9. Be consulted in the making of policies
  10. Suspend the constitutional monarchy if agreed by Parliament

Dynasty established by a former Varangian guard member who left Constantinople 6 years before the fall of the city in 1204 settling on a nearby island, 50 years later his descendant invaded and conquered the island with the help of greek fire

The kingdom is ruled by a branch of the reigning Egyptian royal family, since it's founding it has had 6 Kings the current being Amenemhat II ascending the throne in the 1st of January 2039 as co-ruler to Senusret II Alexander, the royal family has 2 customs not seen in their homeland of Egypt, the first being a 3 name titulary: Throne name, Birth Name and Greek name the last one appearing after the regnal number, the second custom is co-rulership, every King has had a period of co-regency a practice that has fallen out of use in Egypt.

Senusret II Alexander was the first Egyptian monarch to voluntarily abdicate since Nebiriau VII in 1502
