The Czechomoravian Republic (Czech: Českomoravská republika), colloquially known as Czechomoravia (Českomoravsko), is a sovereign state located in Central Europe. The nation is bordered by Poland and Prussia in the north; Slovakia in the east; Austria in the south; and Bavaria in the west. Prague is the capital and largest city.
Name[]
The name Czechomoravia was gradually adopted in the early 1990s in response to growing Moravian awareness. The name denotes that the country is comprised of the historic regions of Bohemia (named Čechy and Česko in Czech) and Moravia. Before 1991, the region was referred to as the Czech (Socialist) Republic within Czechoslovakia.
