Jake Franz Abendaño-Sy (born 9 September 2003), using the alternate identity Kit Fredericson (born 9 September 1996) and known professionally as DJ Kitsune, is a Filipino gaming YouTuber, EDM producer, and TV and radio host of Tornatras (mixed Chinese-Spanish-Filipino) descent. He is known for adopting the alternate identity of an American DJ under the stage name DJ Kitsune.
Life[]
Abendaño was born to a mother of mixed Chinese Filipino and Zamboangan descent (Carol Sy, born 3 May 1976) and a Mexican father (Joel Abendaño, born 12 August 1974). Carol was a dialect teacher and store owner while Abendaño worked as a news reporter for VTN. Abendaño often faced peer pressure from his high school classmates to drink but rejected their offers.
Abendaño's music career started when he showed interest in playing the piano, before switching thereafter to the GarageBand app in his later years. He took American dialect lessons from his mother which he later put to use for concealing his true identity when he introduced his alternative self in 2016.

Abendaño has over 500K subscribers on YouTube and over 13.2M total views. He mostly makes trap, progressive house and dubstep songs. He is known for a fictional character he created, Kit Fredericson, which he uses as an alternate identity.
Abendaño mostly wears a mask of a typical young man and matching gloves as well as shades and a wig to mask out the unrealistic quality. His main items of clothing are a blue hoodie and blue jeans. Abendaño also uses a slightly deeper voice.
He is a host for two ABS-CBN channels: Yey and Myx. He is also a VJ for Myx Radio 103.5.
Trivia[]
- Abendaño is a member of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC), which is an open secret. It has been revealed but he is never seen openly proclaiming his Church membership in public.
- He owns a pet cat, Kitsune II, named as an homage to his channel.
- He opposes alcoholism, not due to his INC membership (alcoholism is forbidden among Church members), but because he does not like its quality.
- In a Q&A, he stated that his father was, ironically, an alcoholic, which led to his excommunication in 2019.
