Yankton (YK), is a state located in the Midwest region of the United States. Admitted to the Union as the 44th state on November 2nd, 1889, it is bordered by Minnesota to the east; Ogallala to the south; Lakotah to the west; and the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Winnipeg to the north. It is frequently referred to by locals as "the Roughrider State".
