The origin of this meme is an Armenian ice cream commercial from 2007 where a zebra sang and danced a parody of "I Like to Move It".
In July 2022, an anonymous cut it before moment the zebra started singing and posted it in Darsan, Reddit and TikTok where it got 1 million views and 407 thousand likes(in Darsan and TikTok) and 5043 upvotes(in Reddit) in 1 month.
The first video with caption featuring this zebra was uploaded in Vimeo in August 24, 2022 by Tabasaran Darsaner TabasaranMemes with a very political caption: "What to do if Tsakhurstan surrenders?", that itself is mostly nonsensical.
In September 4, 2022, the Reddit community r/DancingZebra has been created, now it is renamed r/Vagradzi.

Trivia[]
The zebra has a name given by Delkhiinet: Vagradzi
this started from a fanart where a meme zebra meets Marty, also a zebra, but from "Madagascar" movie
"Vagradzi" means zebra in Armenian
The spread of this meme led Grand Candy to bring back this character, previously only known that advertisement, as their mascot and spread their influence around the world
This is the only video-meme from 2020's that is not used by generation Alpha and is rather used by generation Z and millennials
Use of this meme was BANNED in Azerbaijan, because of its Armenian origins
Because of that, Armenians actively used this meme to troll Azerbaijanis in Delkhiinet
In early 2023, the mock religion called Vagradziism, which considers Vagradzi as a divine being, was founded and became recognized in Armenia.
