Darfur, officially the Republic of Darfur, is a country in Northeast Africa. It borders the Central African Republic to the southwest, Chad to the west and the northwest, Egypt to the northeast, the Red Sea to the east, Eritrea and Ethiopia to the southeast, and Sudan to the south and Southeast. Sudan has a population of 11 million people as of 2024 and occupies 276,733 square kilometres (106,847 square miles), Darfur's capital is Geneina while it's most populous city is Nyala.
