The Decree of Individual Equality was a decree passed by the Russian court on 28 February, 1895. The original copy of the decree is preserved in the Imperial Museum of the Kremlin; it is considered the most important decree of the Russian Empire by many historians and is said to have been one of the major building blocks for universal equality and peace with other cultures, religions, and peoples. The decree has been a focal point for Civil Rights' activists in the United States, anti-Apartheid advocates in South Africa, and many other nations facing ethnic and cultural problems around the world.
