The Kingdom of Denmark is the southern-most Nordic sovereign state located on the Jutland Peninsula, the Scania Peninsula, the region of Mecklenburg, and an archipelago of 443 named islands, with the largest being Zealand, Funen and the North Jutlandic Island. Denmark is a constitutional and hereditary monarchy (possibly being the oldest in Europe), and the current monarch is King Frederick X.
