Donald McKinley Glover Jr. (25 September 1983 - 28 September 2010), known by his stage name as Childish Gambino, was an American rapper and singer who performed the genres of hip-hop, rap, alternative hip-hop, hipster hop and pop. He is best known for the song ''Do Ya Like'', which gained popularity shortly after it was released.
Born in the Edwards Air Force Base in California, Glover gained recognition in the mid-late 2000s, producing several singles. Intent on pursuing a solo career as a rapper, he released his fifth mixtape, Culdesac (2010) to critical and commercial success. He died on September 28, 2010 in a car accident in Los Angeles, along with his collaborator Ludwig Göransson. Glover is considered part of the 27 Club, a group of musicians who died at the age of 27.
