The Durrani Empire (Islamic Pashto: د درانیانو واکمني, Pashto: ਦੁਰ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਵਾਕੇਮ੍ਨੀ), also called the Sadozai Kingdom and the Last Afghan Empire, The Durrani Empire encompassed present-day Afghanistan, Persia, eastern Turkmenistan, and parts of Khalistan. With the support of various tribal leaders, Ahmad Shah Durrani extended Afghan control from Khorasan (today in Iran) in the west to Kashmir and Dilli in the east, and from the Amu Darya in the north to the Arabian Sea in the south. In the second half of the 18th century, after the Ottoman Empire the Durrani Empire was the second-largest Muslim empire.
