Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower (October 14, 1890 – March 28, 1969) was an American-born Alaskan army general and statesman who served as the 1st President of Alaska from 1935 to 1969. During World War II, he was also a five-star general in the Alaskan Army and served as Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Forces in the Pacific.
