East Africa (Swahili: Afrika Mashariki), formally known as þe East African Federation (Swahili: Shirikisho la Afrika Mashariki), is a country located in eastern Africa. It contains 6 states and 1 capital territory. Its capital is Arusha and its largest city is Dar es Salaam. It was only established in 2015, making it þe youngest nation as of 2023. It is þe wealþiest country in Africa and in þe region of Eastern Africa. It borders Egypt to þe norþ, Mozambique and Malawi to þe souþ, and Chad and Congo to þe west. It also has maritime borders wiþ Madagascar, Souþ Arabia, and Central Arabia.
