The Venusian Haven timeline is open to any and all who want to join in. As the admin to the timeline, I welcome all new comers and ideas they bring. To keep order, I greatly request that you obey the following rules:

  1. Do not edit and/or establish your proposal to any existing page without permission from the admin and/or article caretaker.
  2. Bring any new ideas and suggestions up on the article's talk page, or the main talk page if it involves a new article idea.
  3. Do not propose any ideas which have no relevance to the timeline at hand.
  4. Do not re-upload already existing files (including cropped versions).
  5. Do not propose any new nation or settlement ideas for Venus (they all will be ignored and removed from sight).

The following does not pertain to additions or edits which sole purpose is grammar correction (which is always welcomed) and/or site corrections (including mislabeled links and files). As an additional note, I do not take nicely to bullies or rulebreakers. As a site admin, I will take all necessary resources at my disposal if I have to. But for those who truly want to work and expand on this timeline and cooperate with others, than I welcome you and hope you all have fun.

Because this wiki involves alternate destinies, simply linking to the desired articles (for example, [[Mexico]]), it could pertain to any alternate history. Because of which, all pages have the name of the timeline in parentheses at the end of the article. Rather than writing out the entire name of the article, you may simply use the following linking to help you out.

{{VH|"article name here"}}

By adding a vertical bar (|) after the page name, you have the ability to alter the wording to the link. You may also replace the "RA" with a "W" to link to a Wikipedia article.

As an example:

The Confederation of New Kamchatka is a nation located in Aphrodite Terra on planet Venus.
The {{VH|New Kamchatka|Confederation of New Kamchatka}} is a nation located
in {{W|Aphrodite Terra}} on planet {{VH|Venus}}.

Types of articles

This timeline utilizes several types of articles which should be understood by those who wish to work here.

Articles that are canon can simply refer to a completed article. Not necessary finished, canon articles mark the standard for all existing and future articles.

Articles can be proposed by users who can make their own unique say to the timeline. All proposals are welcomed and encouraged.

Because of the growing complexity and information in the timeline, new content will NOT automatically become canon. New articles will have to be reviewed and harmonized before they can become canonized. Any proposal is to remain a proposal until such time as it has developed to become canon. Until such time, there is to be no mentioning of these proposed pages on any already canon pages.

It is to be noted that any proposed article will require the following template to be placed on the TOP of the page, and that any proposed articles are to be brought up on the main talk page.

{{Proposal|timeline=Venusian Haven}}

Under Construction

An article under construction simply means that information on the article is no longer canon and requires cleaning as part of this timeline's standards. In short, do not take them at face value. Unlike proposals, articles under construction can be made mentioned in other articles, but are not to be seen as completely canon for any proposal. An article will no longer be under construction once it has become canonized once again.

It is to be noted that all articles under construction will require the following template to be placed on the TOP of the page. Any articles under construction are barred from outside edits (with the exception of grammatical and admin edits).

Articles that are stubbed refer to those which are canon, but lack vital work to make it complete. Pretty much this refers to articles which require more work to be done. Stubbed articles can be open to new users to expand upon. Anyone interested should bring up any new ideas to the article talk page.

It is to be noted that all stubbed articles will require the following template to be placed on the BOTTOM of the page.

{{Stub|Venusian Haven}}

Many obsolete articles exist within this timeline. These refer to articles which are no longer part of the timeline, and thereby should be ignored within the timeline. Due in part to reference and sentimental purposes, these articles have not been deleted from the site, also in hopes that they can be resurrected in the future. Though after a certain period of times (mostly years) an obsolete article may be removed from the site all together.

It is to be noted that all obsolete articles will require the following template to be placed on the TOP of the page.

Link suggestions

The following is a set of links which I feel best explain my thoughts for the timeline. These may be used for references for new user to view before getting started.

  • Future Venus Unveiled: A creative story about a future Venus. This link has wonderful art, creative creatures, as well as very, very detailed maps.
  • Solar system maps (Russian): This article contains very interesting and detailed maps of Venus; as well as Earth, the Moon, and Mars. The site and maps are in Russian. If it helps, look at the section that contains the word "Венера" on it. The key maps to look at are:
  • Prehistoric Park: The Bug House (YouTube playlist): This is a very interesting series that aired on Animal Planet in 2006. This particular episode involves creatures of the Carboniferous Period. Venus' ecology and characteristics are based (primarily) on this period, as well as many Venusian species have some inspiration from this period.
  • Venus: Earth’s Sister Planet: An interesting piece on what early astronomers thought of Venus.
