The Kingdom of Egypt was a sovereign kingdom in Egypt that emerged following the end of Roman rule in Egypt. Inspired by King Aswad's revolt against Islam in the wake of the collapse of the Grand Sulatanate of the Mashriq in 1457, the Kingdom of Egypt began its history in a civil war of Coptic Christianity against Islam.
After this first, and extremely important, conflict, Egypt would go on to become an important nation in the Middle East. While not a direct rival of Alexandria, the two nations would often vie for dominance as recognition as the main branch of the House of Girguis.
In 1621, however, the death of the King of Egypt without a powerful heir led to Egypt entering into a Personal Union with Alexandria/Aiguptia, resulting in the formation of the state of Aegpyt.
