Elizabeth (born 25 October 2001) is the current Countess of Flanders and the first female monarch of the small European nation. Shortly after her birth, Elizabeth's parents were assassinated by a Marxist terrorist group from Brussels. She ascended to the throne of Flanders after the abdication of her grandfather, Albert II, making her the youngest monarch and the youngest head of state in the world. Due to her age, Elizabeth is too young to carry out royal duties. Her uncle, Prince Laurent of Flanders currently serves as the Prince Regent of Flanders.
