Eraoranhan I (pronounced Er-our-an-an) was the Emperor of the Maxorata Empire from 1933 until his death in 2003, exactly 70 years. He was the longest reigning monarch in Maxorata's history and is considered by many to have been the greatest of them all.

He succeeded his grandfather, Ache II (great-great grandfather of the current Emperor Rayco IV) after his death in 1933. Eraoranhan's father Guayasén, Prince of Teguise, was supposed to be the next in line to the throne. However, the Prince was a very scandalous individual, and was infamous for his gambling, affairs with prostitutes and being accused of money laundering and hitting his wife. The Tagoror (the Imperial parliament), following Emperor Ache II's wish mere days before his death, managed to unanimously block Prince Guayasén from becoming emperor, and skipped a generation by passing the crown onto Eraoranhan, the emperor's grandson. Guayasén would live the rest of his life in self-imposed exile in Cuba, where he would die of alcoholism a few years later in 1940.

Eraoranhan I was crowned in 1933 at the age of 21, and during his reign he witnessed World War II, the Cold War and several other significant events of the 20th century. He managed to become a great ally of General Francisco Franco, the dictator of Spain, and made Spain become one of the Empire's greatest allies. To this day, the two nations still get on very well.

Eraoranhan I was praised by his people because of the Freedom of Expression Law he introduced in 1945, which means that anyone is free to practice their own religion, have their own political opinion and express themselves. His great sense of humor and his kind and jolly nature were loved by all. However, despite his great success as a leader, it was during his reign that the colonial empire finally fell once and for all when he lost Bermuda in the North Atlantic and Cotufa and Martinique in the Caribbean.

Emperor Eraoranhan died of old age while staying at his residence on the small islet of La Graciosa, in the community of Teguise. After Eraoranhan's death in 2003, the entire empire went into mourning for weeks. Morocco and Algeria, two territories that are no longer part of the Empire but still have elements of Maxoratan culture in their own, also greatly mourned his death.

Ache III, Eraoranhan's son, would reign from 2003 until his abdication in 2019 during a constitutional crisis.
