Fìor Ghoid Chàr (FGC) is a series of action-adventure games created by Daividh Jones and Mìcheal Dailly. The game series is primarily developed by the Scottish development house Rockstar Games and its associated publishing houses. The series' name is a Scottish Gaelic translation of a term for motor vehicle theft in the United States (Grand Theft Auto) and focuses on the world of organized crime throughout its various games.
Games in the FGC series tend to be open-world and focus on both engaging main stories and numerous side activities to keep players engaged. The core of the gameplay focuses on driving and shooting but has expanded to include roleplaying and stealth elements. Games in the series vary in the time and places which they are set in, with games in the series varying from the 1960s to the 2010s. In terms of locations, there are three principal cities which are featured throughout the series are primarily within the Scottish-speaking world, including Greasgow (Glasgow, Scotland), New Adrianople (New Smyrna Beach, Saint Photios), and Òir City (Mayńila, Naomh Lazarus). However, spin-off games in the series have expanded their locations outside of the Scottish-speaking world to include locations such as Waanidee (New Amsterdam, United States) and Prislin (London, England). Throughout these varied locations, each game focuses on different protagonists and their struggles to survive or conquer the harsh criminal underworld.
The series has received critical acclaim and have been cited as some of the most influential video games of all time. As of 2010, six games in the series have gone on to become some of the best-selling video games of all time and also some of the highest-rated video games of all time. The games have also garnered controversy for their adult nature and gratuitous violence.

Fìor Ghoid Chàr is a 1997 action-adventure game and the first game in the Fìor Ghoid Chàr franchise. Unlike the games that came after it, FGC is entirely in 2D and involves the protagonist going across multiple locations rather than staying on a singular fixed setting. The game itself is split between 6 different levels and has the player go on an international heist across three different countries. The three locations featured in Fìor Ghoid Chàr are Greasgow, Scotland; New Adrianople, Saint Photios; and Òir City, Naomh Lazarus. Upon its release in Scotland and other Scots-gaelic speaking countries, the game became a best seller but was met with mixed reception in non-Scottish markets. On the game review website Gamerzone, FGC has an average rating of "B," the lowest of any game in the FGC franchise.
