Fascist Britain is the common name for the period in British history from 1932 to 1946, when the country was governed by a dictatorship under the control of Oswald Mosley and the British Union (Fascists). Under Mosley's rule, Britain was transformed into a fascist state in which the Fascists took totalitarian control over nearly all aspects of life. The official name of the state was Commonwealth of Great Britain and Ireland from 1932 to 1933, and Britannia from 1933 to 1946. The Fascist regime came to an end after the Allied Powers defeated Britain in March 1946, ending World War III in Europe.
