Don't be confused with Government of the Philippines
The Federal Council exercises executive authority (other being the government) in the Philippines. It consists of members who are chosen and led by the president. The composition of the council must be approved by the Batasang Pambansa. There are currently 15 Federal Councilors (incl. the President).
