We do not know what happened after that, but the next morning, Trotsky left Paris and went to Dunkirk, then to the United States. Already after the Second American Revolution, he told his comrades in private conversations that he spoke with unknown creatures which promised him "Victory in the most industrialized nation of the world"

But the decision about the Constitution super-industrialization were adopted in the first reading. Congress accepted Cannon's constitution, that was based on old American constitution with some changes. the USA became the SUSA (Socialist United States of America). Also the congress accepted project of industrialization.

The army - voluntary, the PEC - abolish, the capital - build new in the centre of country.

Congress Solutions[]

  1. New Socialist Constitution ,that is based on the old one, was approved. In order to adapt to American realities, most of old communism terms changed names. Such as term "dictatorship of the proletariat" was replaced by "Democracy of the proletariat". All US Congress powers moved to the Panamerican Congress of People's Deputies. SUSA President became head and supervisor of legislative and executive.
  2. PEC was abolished, its functions have been transferred to the Red Army.

Nations of South and Central America became Sales markets and supplier of resources for a growing economy Socialist United States of America. In those nations revolution also occurred.

Foreign SUSA policy before the War[]

The foreign policy of the new States was based on the theory of world revolution, according to which the workers won in one country should not stop, they must help revolutions in other countries.

From the December 1933 The SUSA began supporting revolutionary movements in Latin America. Seeing the success of the Trotskyists, a lot of Communist Parties (particularly in the Western Hemisphere) shifted to the Labour City instead of Moscow. This allowed in 1 January 1934 to create the Fourth International, which united most of the Trotskyist party in the world. Its head was the fellow campaigner Trotsky during the Revolution, James Patrick Cannon. Charter for the organization was written by the president the SUSA, and included the concept of mandatory help in the revolutionary struggle to the other communist Parties.

Very soon, that concept was executed: in March 1934 the revolution broke out in Brazil. It was supported by IV International, that sent volunteers and donations. When in 19 March fell Brasilia and the Socialist Republic of Brazil was established, Trotsky appealed to all Latin Americans, urging them to follow the example of the Brazilians. Fire permanent revolution flared brighter, and the United States acted more impertinently.

In September 1934 Argentine Socialists rebelled. The government leaned on the counter-revolutionary elements among the peasantry and the clergy, trying to retain power. After that Trotsky had to actively intervene: SUSA Red Army troops directly intervened in the conflict. This led to the victory of the Socialist Party of Argentina.

From November 1934 to February 1935 activity of revolutionaries has increased significantly. The communist movement is got faith in the world revolution again. Trotsky popularity has increased many times over. During this time, the revolutions won in Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Venezuela. Latin America(Excluding Mexico) became a Trotskyist.

The reaction of Britain and France was swift - they have thrown military forces in Guinea and UK began to fortify Belize. The persecution of the communists in both countries only grew: for example, in France the communists wasn't not included in the "Popular Front"

In Moscow, Stalin was dissatisfied with growing popularity of Trotskyism in the world. Comintern denounced the creation of IV International and forbade its members to participate in coalitions with the revisionists. It completely undermined the Stalinist position in Latin America. The Stalinists have lost public sympathy in favor of the Trotskyists

At the same time the SUSA security services started operation "Hidden Truth" which was directed against the Soviet Union. American Management hoped destabilize the USSR inside to later bring a new revolution in Russia. "To fulfill this goal we must use all means. Diversions, bribery, blackmail, murder and terrorist attacks, we can not stop.", Trotsky wrote. from 1935 to 1937 SUSA agents acted effectively. But later the Great Shoe started in USSR, during which the majority of Trotskyists were executed or exiled to GULAG.

Internal SUSA policy before the War[]

Within the country a huge propaganda machine started to work. It was created by the Office of Propaganda, which was instructed to look after the culture, education and mass media in the SUSA. State started to prepare the population for a new war, in which the old world would be burnt.

Even Hollywood started to work on propaganda. Were filming one after the other films about the Revolution and the Great Communist Future. The most significant films were: "Trotsky: A Biography of the Leader" and "In the fight for communism."

From 1935 increased pressure on the Soviet Union and personally Stalin in propaganda. He was declared a traitor to the Revolution, and the Soviet Union was accused of betraying the interests of the working class all over the world and building state capitalism. According to Trotsky, Stalin's regime was doomed to decay and death of the degeneration of party members in the new capitalists.

Under the new Constitution, Soviets local authorities. Depending on the terrain Soviets called in different ways, but the essence was one. Control over compliance with the law passed on to the American Proletarian Army, which supported the order by force of arms. Former PEC specialists helped Army in that task. They went into the army as military lawyers. This rigid control reduced the number of crimes at few times. As compared to the pre-revolutionary time, crime in America disappeared.

Also, for the first time in American history, it was introduced a system of universal and free health care. This made it possible to reduce mortality. The popularity of the government increased. It also started social programs that provide access to free education for all citizens. Trotsky-Burnham Government adopted a social package and became the most popular government of the USA in the XX century.

At the same time began the onslaught on the traditional family values. Trotsky announced that in the future, the basic society unit would become commune. He also advocated glass of water theory, that denies the love between men and women and reduces all gender relations to the satisfaction of the sexual needs. The first acts designed to undermine the tradition, was the law of the September 8th 1934 which legalized sexual minorities. Another law of the January 4, 1935 created a system of state shelters for proletarian children. In these shelter The soldiers of the Revolution educated.

Differences in World Politics from the OTL[]

The main difference from the real story was the strengthening of militarization in the UK and France. Also England that felt a much larger threat to itself from the Trotskyist SUSA, was ready to give everything Hitler wanted in Central Europe. Therefore, the "Munich Agreement" was much more quickly and smoothly, Adolf also did not have to promise that it would be his last requirement.

In the Soviet Union there were even more massive repression because of the SUSA security services working in the USSR. The number of shoot for Political Affairs has exceeded 700 000, even more than in the OTL were prisoners in the GULAG.

Japan Guide was not a alarmed by the militarization of the Socialist United States of America. But 1935 was fatally for Japan. All the trade between Japan and the SUSA was discontinued and became punishable by death. After that to the Imperial Navy, which demanded a lot of fuel, could cease to exist. Even joining the Axis in the April 1936 wasn't able only to delay the inevitable. In such circumstances, the Japanese General Staff immediately began to develop an operation of attack on the British and American territory in the Pacific Ocean.

The Spanish Civil War was very different from that of the real story.
