The 37th election of the Senate of the Republic of Japan (Japanese: 第37回参議院議員選挙, dai-sanjūnana-kai Sangi'in gi'in senkyo) was held on Sunday, 22 March 2020, to elect 82 of the 245 members of the Senate, the upper house of the Japanese Congress. It was held in conjunction with the 37th National Assembly and 19th presidential elections.

48 senators were elected by single non-transferable vote (SNTV)/first-past-the-post (FPTP) voting in multi- and single-member prefectural electoral districts; the remaining 34 were elected to represent the nation at-large through D'Hondt proportional representation with optionally open lists.

As a result of the election, the Liberal Democratic coalition under incoming Senate leader Santō Akiko lost its majority, falling from 124 seats (including independent supporters) to 115. However, the LDP negotiated a coalition deal with Komeito following the election, allowing them to maintain control over the Senate. On the opening of the 37th Congress on 5 April 2020, Santō was elected Majority Leader, replacing her predecessor, outgoing Senator Date Chuichi.
