Vancouver in turn on virtual and digital UHF channel 17 has CIVI-DT. Making it and Ottawa having both CTV systems in the same town (Pembroke was also on of them until early 2020, though will be back on air as a subchannel for a CIII-DT/Global rebroadcaster). The station was launched in 1997 and always owned by Baton/CTVGlobemedia/Bell.
Transmitters[]
Since acquiring most of CBC's analogue transmitters in 2012, CIVT-DT has a vast network of transmitters in Mainland BC. Another example of province-wide network is CHAN-DT/Global. Both serve Kelwona, even when the city has its own Global transmitter, as well as Kamloops, and Prince George. Terrace and Dawson Creek's CTV(2) are served by each of their own station.
