Princedom of Circassia- or Simply Circassia is a dominion of Georgian Crown. It is Governed by Members of Adigheli branch of Bagrationi Dynasty. Members of The Adigheli branch act as semi-independent Viceroys, although they heavily rely on Georgian Military support.
History[]
Lands of Circassia had been populated by Circassians since 8000 BC, yet they never had a United Kingdom, Circassia was split into different Chiefdoms that were mostly isolated from The Outside world.
Establishment of The Princedom[]
Open Hostilities with Georgians began in 1620, when King Giorgi III retook province of Jiqeti from the Ubykhs and expelled them. Period from 1622-1637 was relatively peaceful, aside from occasional raids and skirmishes, but situation got out of hand when Circassian Chieftain of Adygea, Janok, Invaded Province of Jiqeti, raided countless villages and murdered Duke Vakhtang Machavariani before besieging important castle of Nicopsia. But his success didn't last long, as King Alexander and his Allies destroyed Janok and his forces. Despite Heavy resistance, Janoks capital was destroyed, and he was killed. Alexander knew about stubbornness of Circassians, and in order to avoid future revolts, instead of annexing Circassia directly, He gave it to his brother Mamuka as a fief, Having him marry cousin of late Janok to strengthen his Legitimacy.
