The Kingdom of France, also known as the First Orléans Kingdom, was a state in Europe that existed from 1792 until 1802. The French government was ruled by the Orléans monarch, Louis XVII, as well as his constitutional cabinet. The state existed between 1792 and 1802, when it was dissolved after a coup d'état performed by Napoleon Bonaparte .
First years[]
The restoration was carried out by military means. December 17 Paris was captured. On December 19 National Convention was dispersed. On December 20 a new legislative body was created, the "National Assembly". The next day, the Assembly approved a return to the 1791 Constitution.
The principle of separation of powers[]
The principle of separation of powers was applied for almost the first time in the history.
Constitutional cabinet was the executive body, headed by Louis XVII and "All-French Secretary" — "A right hand of the King","Representative of the interests of the people". This post declared elective. At first cabinet had 7 ministers. The National Assembly was the legislative power body. It was a unicameral parliament.
