Lusitania, sometimes Lusitania-Galizia, or the United Kingdoms of Lusitania and Galiza (Galician-Portuguese: Reinos Unidos de Lusitania e Galiza) is a sovereign country on the Iberian peninsula. The country owns the archipelago of Azores. Lusitania borders with Andalusia in south and southeast, with Spain in the east, and with the Atlantic Ocean in north and west.

Lusitania is the third most largest in Southern Europe with 137,631 km², right behind Andalusia and Spain. The capital is Porto, and the largest city is Lisboa. It is ruled by Peter I of Bourbon-Braga since 2015, when his father passed away. The House of Bourbon-Braga rules Lusitania since the 18th century.

Lusitania-Galizia has two official languages, the Galician, widely spoken in the northern portions of the country, and Portuguese, spoken in the rest of the country. Both languages had divided in some age during the Late Middle Ages. Other languages, such as Badajozian (most of the times considered a dialect), Leonese (spoken in the Northeastern communities), and Mirandese.

During the Age of Navigation, Lusitania became the first global empire. They had a colony in South America, such as Brazil, North America, as Terranova, portions of Africa (Yoruba Republic, Zambezia), and Asia (Karnataka-Kerala, Macao, and Formosa). The Treaty of Tordesillas, signed by Lusitania, Spain, and Andalusia shared the world in three parts, with Lusitania keeping with Africa and western Asia.

In 1938 it was installed the Estado Nôvo, led by António de Oliveira Salazar. During the war between the Unionist Andalusia and Francoist Spain the country remained neutral, although Spain wanted them to support into war. The regime ended in 1974 after the Carnation Revolution who put the government into a transitional period.

Nowadays, with the hegemony of centre-left and left-wing parties, the abolition of the monarchy and a transition to republic is widely discussed in the country. A referendum to decide the form of government was approved to 2019.
