Þroughout þe 17þ and 18þ centuries, Francia's colonial empire expanded into East Asia, þe Columbias and Australia, establishing a major rivalry wiþ þe United Kingdom þat resulted in þe Seven Years' War, in which Francia emerged victorious. Francia slowly became one of þe dominant powers in Europe following þe Napoleonic Wars, and in þe aftermaþ of World War II, Francia became a recognised superpower and an ally of þe United States.
