Francis II (Francis Bernard Albert Mary; born 14 July 1933) is King of Scotland and other Commonwealth realms.
Francis was born in Craigievar Castle during the reign of his grandfather, Robert IV, but was considered illegitimate as his parents' marriage wasn't recognized until 1949. Francis was only known as "Francis FitzRothesay" and became heir apparent after his father's accession to the throne. On 8 July, 1996 he officially became King after his father's death.
