William Franklin "Frank" Knox (January 1, 1874 – April 28, 1944) was an American statesman, and newspaper editor and publisher who served as the 31st Vice President of the United States from 1933 to 1937 under President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and later the Secretary of the Navy under Roosevelt's third administration during most of World War II until his death in 1944.
