The French Antilles consist of the island departments of Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Saint-Barthélemy. They are governed as a federal republic and a member collectivity of the Republic of the French Southern Territories (RTFA). Guyane and the former French half of Saint Martin were part of the Antilles before the formation of the RTFA.
