The French Civil War was one of the most destructive conflicts in the history of mankind, resulting in the deaths of an unknown number of people, almost exclusively of whom were citizens of the French Empire. The war was fought primarily between the European Alliance, a rebel faction led by Sebastien Bonaparte, against the forces of the government, led first by a cabal of advisors to his father, Emperor Albert I Bonaparte, and later by his elder brother, Emperor Edmond Bonaparte.
