Gennady Andreyevich Zyuganov (Russian: Генна́дий Андре́евич Зюга́нов; born 26 June 1944) is a Russian politician currently serving as the 12th President of the Russian Democratic Federative Republic. He took office on 26 May 2017, succeeding Dmitry Medvedev. He has been leader of the New Socialist Party and a deputy in the State Duma since 1993.
