The German Empire is a nation state located in Central Europe, formed from the Kingdom of Prussia in 1871. The State was formed through Otto Von Bismarck's careful guidance after the Franco-Prussian War.
After the unification of Germany in 1871, the victorious Prussians declared the German Empire in Versailles, crowning Wilhelm I as the new German Emperor. Bismarck leads the empire until his death in 1898.
Post Bismarck Germany
The next Kaiser of Germany, was Friedrich III, who succeeded Wilhelm I. He reigned for 20 years, and brought stability to the Empire.Like Bismarck before him, Friedrich III forged alliances with Russia and Britain and isolating France. When the Great War Broke out in 1914, Germany sided with the Russians against Austria. The Great War ended in 1919, with signatories gathering in Constantinople to sign the Treaty of Constantinople.
