A Short History of Germania[]
Germania was conquered by the Emperor Marcus Aurelius in the year 914 (161 AD). The successful Battle of the Teutonic Forest led to the conquest of the new Provinces of Germania and Aurelia. Germania became a major industrial power with their discovery of coal reserves in the forested lands given to the Saxon immigrants crossing the Albus River (Elbe). Germania lost part of its territory in the Second War for the North where the lower class tribes of Germania, with the funding of the Cimbri in Scandinavia, established independent Kingdoms which joined the Cimbrian Alliance. Because of this fighting many of the records of Governors were lost. Another effect of the war with the Cimbri was the loss of the status Germania had as a Senatorial Province which it gained furing the peace of the eleventh century.
