Global cuisines (as opposed to all cuisines around the world) refers to the certain national and regional cuisines that can now be found scattered all around the world, and are locally important foods to those who have imported them over the years. Being global, they have often been changed by their host countries to suit differing tastes, though authentic styles can usually be found, too. There are generally recognized to be seven truly global cuisines, and some semi-global cuisines.

Global Cuisines[]

Italian[]

Neapolitan cuisine is the most widespread. The most common Italian dishes worldwide are pizza and various pastas (including stuffed pasta like ravioli and tortellini). Calzones (folded over pizzas) and focaccia are also popular. Desserts include sfigadells (sfogliatelles) and gelato.

Indian[]

Northern Indian is the most widespread in the Occident, though Southern Indian is very widespread in Southeast Asia and is growing elsewhere. The most common Indian dishes worldwide include various curries, naan, dosa/thosai, and basmati rice (used in saffron rice and other dishes).

Chinese[]

China consists of many nations and hugely differing cuisines. There is not one single national cuisine of China that dominates the world scene. The most common Chinese dishes worldwide are mapo doufu, jiaozi, claypot, fried noodles, noodles in soup, and spring rolls.

Mejican[]

Mejican cuisine stems from the Southern Pemhakamik Aboriginal cuisine, with Spanish influences. The most common Mejican dishes worldwide are nachos, tacos (hard and soft), tacos de harina / burritos, chili, refried beans, black beans, guacamole, tortilla chips, salsa, sour cream, and fried ice cream.

Greek/Byzantine[]

Greek and Byzantine cuisine resemble Middle-Eastern cuisine to some extent, but also differ in variou ways. The most common Greek dishes worldwide are pita bread, falafel, tzatziki sauce (the former three often made into a falafel pita wrap), feta cheese. Desserts include sfingi (loukoumas) and fillo pastry.

New Englander/Pacifican[]

These cuisines are famous for taking others and changing them into their own styles. These Pemhakamic styles are then popularized across the world. Like in Sundarapore, Taiwan, and some other places, the local vegetarians often tend to make meat-like foods from vegetarian substances. The most common Northern Pemhakamik dishes worldwide are veggie Burgers (originally invented in England), french fries (Belgian), doughnuts, bagels (Polish/Austrian/Jewish), various sandwiches (peanut-butter, etc), pancakes, breakfast cereal, toast, cookies, and soda (carbonated drinks).

Sundaraporean[]

Sundaraporean is the newest addition to the list of global cuisines, with a huge growth rate over the past few decades. Sundaraporean food, like New Englander/Pacifican cuisine, stems from external influences, as its people are a jumble of ethnic Chinese, Malays, Indians, and others. Sundaraporean cuisine is a close relative of the cuisine of Penang, Ipoh, and other places, and also popularizes dishes from some places in southern China. The most common Sundaraporean dishes worldwide are hor fun / kway teow, char kway teow, bee hoon (thin noodles - can be fried), vegetable curry (usually medium-hot, somewhat oily, and containing cabbage), hash browns (also New Englander), laksa (a curry-like soup with noodles), fried mee, kaya toast, mee rebus, mee siam (Siamese-inspired), and roti prata (Indian-inspired).
