The Great Powers are considered the most powerful nations in the world, able to project their power and interests in other countries around the world through military, economic and diplomatic maneuvers. The following is a list of the Great Powers since 1805 (the POD of this Alternate History). The more powerful of these nations are considered to be "superpowers," with the ability to project their influence more so than ordinary Great Powers. The ones commonly accepted as such are highlighted in bold.
