The Greater Californian Empire is an empire spanning California, Southern Oregon, Baja California, Parts of Nevada & Arizona.
The political system of the GCE is a totalitarian regime, where power is concentrated in the hands of a single party and its leader. The country is ruled by the Imperial Party of California, which has been in power since a violent revolution that took place in 2012. The current leader of the party, General McNeil, is a ruthless and cunning man who has consolidated his power by eliminating all opposition and dissent.
The people of California are heavily indoctrinated and tightly controlled by the government. The media is strictly censored and monitored, and any dissent or criticism of the regime is met with swift and brutal punishment. Citizens are required to attend regular propaganda rallies and to participate in community work projects, with those who refuse or fail to do so facing imprisonment or worse.
Despite its oppressive political system, The GCE is a powerful and technologically advanced nation, with a well-trained military and a strong economy based on natural resources such as oil and minerals. The Empire's isolation makes it difficult to invade or subvert from outside, and the Californian Empire has a reputation for being a tough and formidable adversary in international relations.
