The Green Party (Czech and Slovak: Strana zelených, lit. 'Party of Greens') is a green political party in Czechoslovakia.

Sparked by the anti-nuclear power movement following the 1981 nuclear power referendum the party was founded in 1983 out of a discontent with the existing parties' environmental policies. In 1986 federal election they won seats in the Federal Assembly for the first time, capturing 4.3 percent of the vote. Following the 2002 federal election, the Greens joined the federal government for the first time in in the traffic light coalition government led by Vladimír Špidla of the Social Democrats (ČSSD). Under leadership of Martin Bursík, the Greens adopted a more pragmatic and centrist approach to politics, and subsequently joined the the centre-right coalition government of Mirek Topolánek following the 2006 federal election. The party remained in government until 2010 when it resigned in opposition to nuclear power. In the 2010 federal election, the party suffered significant losses, falling to 4 seats. In 2013 federal election, the party recovered its losses from 2011, returning to __ seats. In the 2021 election, the party achieved by far its best-ever result, winning __ seats and ___% of the vote.

Ideologically, the Green Party is positioned on the centre to centre-left of the political spectrum, with differences between the liberal and left-wing factions within the party. Apart from ecological issues such as environmental protection and opposition to nuclear power, the Green Party is supportive of equality and feminism, social justice, children's rights, rights of minorities, direct democracy, nonviolence, animal rights, self-reliance, and green liberal ideas. Internationally, the Greens are pro-European and in favor of the federalisation of the European Union.

The party has since 2017 been represented federally by two spokespeople, one man and one woman. These roles are currently held by Peter Pilinský and Magdalena Davis. It is currently represented in the Federal Assembly, with __ of the 200 seats Chamber of Deputies, and with ___ of the 100 seats in the Senate. It holds seats in the legislatures of all four states. The Green Party is a founding member of the European Green Party and the Greens–European Free Alliance group in the European Parliament; of Czechoslovakia's 26 MEPs, 3 are members of the Greens. The party is also a member of the Global Greens.
