Greenland is a member nation of the Nordic Union located east of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, between the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans. Considered the largest island in the world, Greenland's population currently stands at around 55,000 people. Formerly a Danish colony, Greenland took control of its own affairs with the near-collapse of Denmark. Today it is a fully self-governing nation under the Danish monarchy.

Post-Doomsday[]
After relying on Canada for supplies and defense for eight years following the events of Doomsday, Greenland regained its status as an autonomous state under the Danish monarchy in 1991, following the resumption of regular, reliable contact with the kingdom in 1989. It became a member of the Nordic Union on 26 September of that year, at the same time as Åland and the Faroe Islands and one year after the NU's foundation.
The Canadian government continued to assist with supplies, funds, and defense until 1995.

There are four main political parties in the Parliament: the Liberal, Social Democratic, Centrist, and Conservative Parties.
