Gwyneth Thomas (born 1952) has been the President of West Africa since 1999. She has been implicated in the murder of Kenneth Bessette, her predecessor, in the 1999 coup. She was elected President in 2003, in an election that was boycotted by the opposition; she was re-elected in 2004 and 2005.
