HMS Birmingham was a ship in the Royal Navy. It was a Town class Light Cruiser, named after the city of Birmingham, in the Midlands of England. Four days after the beginning of the , Birmingham was sunk by the German U-boat , unknown to the crew, off the coast of Holland. Nearly all the crew died.
