Hanna-Barbera Animation is an Australian-New Zealander animation studio. Founded in 1972 as an Australian branch of the American animation studio of the same, Hanna-Barbera was reorganized after Doomsday into Southern Star and largely focused on live action; much of their animators would go to work for Yoram Gross, with whom Southern Star collaborated with for The World of Gerry Anderson. In 1999, Hanna-Barbera would be reestablished as a division of Southern Star, serving as their in house animation studios. Today, Hanna-Barbera operates three studios, one in Sydney, one in Melbourne, and one in Auckland.
