Early life and career[]

Garg was born to a Kurdish family in the predominantly Kurdish-Columbian neighborhood of South Boston. She was the youngest child in her family of four and spoke Kurdish at home and English at school. Her multilingual skills resulted in her taking an early liking to diplomacy, with her participating in Model League to Enforce Peace in both middle school and high school. She graduated from South Boston High School in 1991 and began studying international relations at Stadtholder's College in New Amsterdam in which she received a bachelor's degree in 1995.

Upon graduating from college, Garg had joined up with the United States Foreign Service and began consular work at several embassies during her first few assignments. She was assigned to the U.S. embassies in Belgrade, Ottawa, Hawkinsville, Venezuela, and Tokyo before eventually being promoted to career ambassador and ending up as the United States Ambassador to Rhomania in 2005. She would serve out this term before eventually leaving the United States Foreign Service and being appointed to the position of Assistant Secretary of State for Muqaddas Affairs by President Francis Fukuyama in 2010 and confirmed to that position by the Council of Deliberations.

Political career[]

Assistant Secretary of State for Muqaddas Affairs (2010-2012)[]

Even though Garg was a registered Republican, her foreign policy expertise and previous correspondence with Fukuyama ultimately led to him announcing his appointment of Garg as the Assistant Secretary of State for Muqaddas Affairs on 28 December 2009. She would testify before the Council of Deliberations before being approved by the body on 10 January 2010 unanimously, she assumed her post the following day.

During her time as Assistant Secretary, Garg would make frequent visits to Novanglia, Al-Bayd, Henryland, and Cosimoland. A large pejorative of Garg in her time as Assistant Secretary was addressing the resource shortages plaguing Vizifold and sought to increase U.S. developmental aid to the country during her tenure. Ultimately, her advocacy did result in increased U.S. aid to Vizifold in the 2011 Congressional Budget. Her foreign policy experience led to her becoming the nominee of the Republican Party in the 2012 election and then ultimately Socialist Party candidate Stefan Lofven's running mate going into the election.

Vice President of the United States (2013-2021)[]

Garg was inaugurated as Vice President alongside President-elect Stefan Löfven on 4 January 2013 at Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
