Helldal was founded in 1016 after explorers from Kysten Byen returned up there to start a settlement. It's the largest city on the island of Helluland, with 106 thousand people as of 2010.
It's built on the coast of Helluland, and stretches about three miles behind it. There are many lakes around, and most haven't been filled in.
