Hilary James Wedgwood Benn MP (born 26 November 1953) is a British Labour Party politician who has served as Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom since 2024. Benn also served as Chancellor of the Exchequer in the Second Miliband government and also served in several roles in the Blair and Brown Cabinets. He has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Leeds Central since a by-election in 1999.
