The House of Belosselsky-Belozersky (Russian: Белосельский-Белозерский) is an aristocratic Russian family that descends in a direct male line from the Earliest Kievan Rus rulers and later of the medieval sovereigns of the Duchy of Beloozero, where they are currently based in and where the surname is derived from.
Of Rurikid descent, they are currently one of the largest land-owning princely families in the Russian Empire. During the Russian Civil War, many were forced to flee west, but as Russia recovered from the ruins, they gradually returned to the Russian Empire to reclaim their land, although most returned as figurehead rulers, required under constitutional law to allow their powers under elected rulers, yet still benefited from the taxes.
One of the wealthiest families of the Russian Empire, their net worth is estimated to be around ₽532.4 billion.
