The House of Trubetskoy (Russian: Трубецкие) is a Russian and Belarusian princely family of both Ruthenian and Lithuanian origins, like many other princely houses of Grand Duchy of Lithuania, later prominent in Russian history, science, and arts. They are descended from Algirdas's son Demetrius I Starshy (1327 – 12 August 1399 (the Battle of the Vorskla River). They used the Pogoń Litewska coat of arms and the Trubetsky coat of arms.
They currently bear the title Prince/Princess of Chernigov.
Of the many nobilities in the Russian Empire, they are one of the most globally wide-spread. As the part of the broader Trubetskoy family, they are also involved deeply and have factions existing in Poland, Croatia and Belarus, where their members are Catholics or Lutheran.
Their main estate is in the city of Trubchevsk, located within the Principality of Chernigov.
