The House of Zhèngshí (Chinese: 鄭石) also referred to by the "Christian royal family" (基督教王室, Jīdūjiào wángshì) is a princely family in southern and central China of military background and prominence. Although descended from the warlord Feng Yuxiang and his wife, Li Dequan, Feng Yuxiang is not the patriarch of the established princely House of Feng, but rather his second eldest-son, who is known by Prince Shú Huí of the 1st Rank (secular name unknown, we'll just call him Feng Wèizhī for now) - who many suspect, was responsible for his father's death. They currently bear the titles Prince/Princess of Taiwan, and Prince/Princess of Anhui and have become very prominent peoples in southern China.
Ashamed of his father's actions, Feng Wèizhī did as much to distance himself from Feng Yuxiang, but wanted to carry on the family line and make a positive impact on Chinese society. Therefore, Feng Wèizhī appeared before Imperial officials and officially renounced his father's actions. He therefore, cooperated with his older brother to serve the Emperor of China as the Head of State, and being Christians, joined the Imperial Liángshí, the propaganda branch of the Imperial Chinese Forces modeled after the Imperial Commissariat of the Imperial Russian Forces. Additionally, he visited Buddhist monasteries and spoke to Buddhist monks, apologizing for his father's actions against them during his time as a warlord.
In 1965 during a mission in Taiwan, the Liángshí office was attacked and ransacked by Old Kuomintang supporters, killing most of the personnel, and leading the others to flee. Additionally, Prince Yuzhang, who was the officer in charge was in the office. He disobeyed Prince Yuzhang's orders to evacuate and instead, took two bullets to the ribs, in a gunfight, it eventually ended reinforcements form the Chinese mainland and the perpetrators punished.
As a result, Feng Wèizhī was taken to Beijing, where he was crowned by the Chaoxiang Emperor himself, as Shú Huí, Prince of the 1st Rank; the highest attainment a prince could ever have for saving Prince Yuzhang's life. The Chaoxiang Emperor also bestowed the dynasty name Zhèngshí upon his family, as Prince Shú Huí had also wanted to nix the Feng name to completely dissociate from Feng Yuxiang. Whereas his father, Feng Yuxiang was the "Christian general", he was known as the "Christian prince" (基督徒王子), and upheld his Christian faith. The Chaoxiang Emperor was actually against the idea of him becoming Buddhist or Taoist, since he figured that Prince Shú Huí could help garner support for the Imperial state towards the Chinese Christian community, something which Shú Huí happily obliged and soon became known for. He continued to serve with the Imperial Chinese Forces, and soon would serve the commander of the Imperial Liángshí.
Shú Huí married Paulina Xīn-Wén, an affluent Chinese-American Methodist, she became Princess Míng-Zhū. Shú Huí's descendants are all Christians, and have become prominent within the Chinese Christian community. Although most of them are Methodists, however, Prince Shú Huí's second son, Prince Lan Yao became a Roman Catholic, upon marriage to a Roman Catholic wife/princess-consort.
