In most cultures, humor (or humour) was affected by the fall of communism in Russia and China and Transitional Justice carried out by them afterwards, and Japan's economic rise (GDP overtook the US in 2000). Many people have turned to jokes and humour as a way of relieving tension.
This page documents all types of humour and jokes in the Double Collapse timeline.
