The IFF World Cup is the event of the entire world of national football teams coming together to qualify and play in the game called Football every 4 years. The event first took place in 1930 where Antartique hosted the first ever IFF World Cup, while Al-Bayd took home the gold, beating France in the final. Ever since (minus the 1942, and 1946 potential world cups), the event takes place every 4 years with a hosting country and the defending champions being guaranteed a spot in the next world cup.
Countries like Germany, Czechoslovakia, Novanglia, Mexica, Italy, Rhomania, Mali and Al-Bayd have the most success in the IFF World Cup, all winning at least twice and all have been in the top 10 on the IFF rankings for most of the IFF's lifespan. Several other countries have also won a world cup, winning somewhat often in the modern landscape of the sport. The competition is often credited with a huge influx of parity and the same countries either going very far or getting upset due to how top-heavy the world cup winners generally are, but there have been signs of chaos that have been massively changing the courses of the world cups. The defending champions are Novanglia, winning it all in 2022.
